Xenon lights provide the best simulation of natural sunlight. As shown below, with an appropriate filter combination, their irradiance spectrum can be adapted to match closely the natural sunlight over a broad range of wavelengths.
The Xenon arc weathering chambers have automatic control of light intensity, temperature and humidity. Specific programs allow the samples to be sprayed with water or exposed to alternating cycles of dark and light periods.
